Food Drives

Food drives are a meaningful way to give back to the community, as they help keep the warehouse stocked full of food. Please read the food drive manual below to learn more and get started.

Registering your food drive is important so we know to expect an influx of food donations during a specific time.

Below is a list of the items most needed this time of year to assure that no one goes to bed hungry.  Please consider donating today!

Diapers, Wipes, Baby Formula, Baby Food

Canned Ravioli and Spaghettios

Snack Sized Pudding and Jello

Peanut Butter and Jelly

Paper Products

Canned Fruit

Fruit Cups

Cereal

Juice Boxes

Pasta and Pasta Sauce

Canned Meat

To ensure food safety, we cannot accept:

Open or used items

Homemade items

Items with no labels

Expired items

Rusty cans

Noncommercial canned or packaged items (packaged in something other than its original container)

Alcoholic beverages

Fresh seafood

 Posters and fliers are great ways to advertise your food drive. Below are posters and fliers you may print to help showcase your food drive.

Drop-Off Location

Please drop off food collected from food drives at our 254 West Princess St warehouse facility in York, PA anytime Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 3:00pm. If you need assistance in transporting the food or need us to pick up the food, give us a call. We are more than happy to help!

Collection containers are available for use during food drives.  We offer three sizes but they are available in limited quantities.  Be sure to let us know if you need containers and what size best meets your needs.

We provide online templates for flyers and posters but we cannot print them out in mass quantities for you.
Yes! We would love to speak at your food drive to help promote the Food Bank and ending hunger in York County. Please mention this request on the food drive registration form.
You bet! We’d be more than happy to pick up the food for you if you are unable to drop it off. Please mention this request on the food drive registration form. If needed, give us a call at (717) 846-6435 to schedule a pick-up.
