SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program):

SNAP benefits (formerly called food

stamps) help people eat healthy by stretching their food dollars at grocery stores and supermarkets. If you qualify, you’ll get a debit card with a monthly amount of money to use for groceries. Benefits are based off income and household size. For additional info about SNAP, contact the York County Assistance Office at 1-800-991-0929. Apply using the link below or contact the Central PA Food Bank SNAP Helpline by calling or texting APPLY/APLICAR to 1-877-999-5964 Mon.-Fri. between 8:00AM-4:00PM.

Senior Farmers Market Program:

This program runs from June 1 through November 30 each

year. Seniors must be 60 or older by December 31 of the program year and have income at or below 185% of the U.S. poverty level. Eligible seniors should call their county Aging office for information on distribution of vouchers. Vouchers are distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

Meals for Seniors:

Home delivered meals are available to a York County resident in a

non-institutional setting, 60 years of age or older with a disability which prohibits the individual from leaving his/her residence, living alone or with someone who also meets these criteria. Contact the York County Area Agency on Aging at 771-771-9610 for more information.
