Zach Wolgemuth is a South-Central Pennsylvania native and a graduate of Millersville University who currently lives in York County with his wife and two children. For nearly fifteen years Zach lead disaster recovery efforts in the United States as the Associate Director for Church of the Brethren Disaster Ministries and most recently global response and recovery efforts as the Executive for the United Church of Christ Disaster Ministries. During his tenure, with both organizations, Zach guided, supervised and trained national networks of volunteers, developed and implemented innovative programs to respond to community recovery needs and expanded disaster recovery efforts, capacities and capabilities. Through the global coordination, management and distribution of over $25 million in services and funding Zach was able to assist families with emergency services, rebuild thousands of homes and aid in the recovery of hundreds of communities. Additionally, Zach has served on various committees and most notably as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster which is the premier association of disaster response and recovery organizations in the United States.
