The annual Iron Chef Competition is an an evening of guest speakers, auctions, drinks, and of course – great food! Best of all, it helps the York County Food Bank ensure we can pursue a Hunger Free York.

Four of the best chefs in York County create three course meals using staple food items from the Food Bank. Attendees sample the creations and choose which chef will take home the title of Iron Chef!

Did you know: Through our own programs and through our Food Security Network, we distributed 4.1 million pounds of food and provided 3.4 million healthy meals to our neighbors in need all over York County. Every month, more than 40,000 people counted on us, a level of demand that has held steady since last year.

We did this with the support of more than 500 volunteers gave 11,000 hours, saving nearly $400,000 in labor costs. We couldn’t have done it without those volunteers, our donors, and the hard work of our partners all over the county.
