STACEY HOF

John Hilliard started his tenure with the York County Food Bank working as a volunteer sorting food and recruiting volunteers as a director of Outreach at Living Word Community Church. In that role, his desire to help the ‘under-resourced’ in York County led him to volunteer with many other organizations but the food bank was his primary platform. Shortly after beginning to serve as a volunteer, he was asked to join the Board of Directors where he served for the next 11 years. 

John has been a ‘volunteer’ Volunteer Coordinator at the food bank for the past 5 years helping to grow the army of volunteers who serve each week. He has led the box packing and distribution process with those volunteers since the need for more distributions arose with the COVID pandemic.

He has a robust background in organizational management having worked for a Fortune 100 company for 33 years, served as a global and local outreach pastor for the past 10 years and now he has assumed the role of Director of Programs at the York Food Bank.

He is excited to be part of the mission to help all those in York County who are ‘food insecure’ and looks forward to working with the staff and volunteers to serve the growing number of families who are without healthy meals.
